What are waivers on Q4Fun?
Waivers are digital agreements that participants must sign before participating in events or joining clubs. They can cover liability releases, codes of conduct, health declarations, or any custom requirement the club defines.
How do clubs create waivers?
Admins create waiver templates in Settings > Legal. Each template has a title, body text, and a version. Templates can be required at the club level (signed when joining) or at the event level (signed when registering).
When am I asked to sign a waiver?
You may be prompted to sign waivers at several points:
- Joining a club — If the club has club-level waivers.
- Registering for an event — If the event requires a waiver.
- First booking — If the club requires waivers for court reservations.
How do I sign a waiver?
The waiver text is displayed on screen. Read it, check the “I agree” box, and confirm. Your signature is recorded with a timestamp and IP address. You can view your signed waivers in your account settings.
What about waivers for minors?
Guardians sign waivers on behalf of their minors. When registering a child for an event that requires a waiver, the guardian is presented with a consent form that explicitly covers the minor. Only verified guardians can sign for a minor.
What is a document requirement?
Beyond waivers, clubs can require documents (e.g., proof of age, medical clearance). These are configured as document requirements that participants must upload or acknowledge during registration.
What happens when a waiver is revised?
When a club updates a waiver template, a new version is created. Participants who signed the old version may be asked to re-sign if the club requires the latest version. Previous signatures are preserved for audit purposes.
Can I see who has signed?
Club admins can view waiver compliance in the member and registration management sections. Each participant's waiver status shows whether they have signed the required waivers and which version.
